Cholesterol Formulas and Conversion

1. LDL Estimation (mg/dL only - Friedewald Formula)

If LDL is not measured directly, it is estimated using Total Cholesterol (TC), HDL, and Triglycerides (TG).

2. Non-HDL Cholesterol

A secondary, often more predictive risk factor, calculated by removing HDL from the total:
