Who Must Pay Fidya?
- Elderly who cannot fast
- Chronically ill
- Pregnant/nursing mothers (if harmful)
- Travelers (if exempt)
Example: 30 Missed Fasts, PKR 350/meal
- 30 days × 1 person = 30 people fed
- 30 × PKR 350 = PKR 10,500 total
- Pay to mosque or charity before next Ramadan
Kaffara: 60 Consecutive Fasts
If you deliberately break a fast, you must:
- Fast 60 consecutive days, OR
- Feed 60 poor people (PKR 21,000 in Pakistan)

Yes — pay Fidya at the start of Ramadan if you know you cannot fast.
